People would love to buy an object like this because they feel it would be convenient. That is what our society tends to be about; convenience. Hereby they don't realize how much money is being lost, when it could have been used for purposes that to my opinion make more sense, like helping the poor, reducing gas prices etc.

NY Times: A Personal Robot For $400,000
A personal robot is being sold for almost half a million dollars. It is called, the PR2 and its Nick Bilton's, a reporter, desire to have it.
People would love to buy an object like this because they feel it would be convenient. That is what our society tends to be about; convenience.
